In the King James Version below, you will see how Paul describes that Jesus "being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God". This clearly shows support that Paul, the leading figure in the early church, knew Jesus was God.

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.

In Hebrews 1:8, Jehova himself calls Jesus "O God"

8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness F3 is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

The Deity Of Christ

This blog seeks to document with historical and biblical evidence the Deity of Jesus Christ. Anyone who doubts that Jesus was God in human form has two issues to deal with. 1) You have to hold to the tenant that Jesus was a fraud and 2) You have to be able to prove that the Bible is a fradulent document.

Why? Because Jesus claimed to be God in the Bible. John 4:26; 8:23; 10:30; 13:13; 14:7-10

He accepted worship, which would be blasphemous if He was not God, Matthew 8:2; 9:18; 14:33; 15:25; 18:26; 28:9, 17 Mark 5:6; Luke 24:52; John 5:22, 23; John 9:38

He claimed the power and authority to forgive sin. Matthew 9:6; Mark 2:7

He was called "Mighty God" in Isaiah 9:6, "The Word of God" in John 1:1, "Immanuel, meaning God with us" Isaiah 7:14 & Matthew 1:23, "The Almighty" Revelation 1:8. "The I AM" John 8:58, "My Lord and My God" in John 20:28, The "Alpha and Omega" in Isaiah 44:6, and "Son of God" inn Matthew 17:5.

He was onmiscient (all-knowing) John 4:25, 26, 29; 6:64; 13:11; 19:28; 21:17

He was omnipresent (everywhere) Matthew 18:20; 28:20; Ephesians 1:23

He was omnipotent (all-powerful) Daniel 7:13, 14; Matthew 28:18 John 3:31, 35; 17:2; 1 Peter 3:22

He is eternal 1 Timothy 1:17; 6:16; Revelation 1:4, 5

CS Lewis, a professor at Cambridge University and once an agnostic said I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: I am ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I dont accept His claim to be God. That is the one thing we must not say. A man who is merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic-on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg--or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was and it the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse.

Then he adds, You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon, or you can fall at His feet and call him Lord and God. But let us not come up with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us.

And that was one of the great things about Jesus, He didn't leave much room for speculation. He was either Theanthropos (The God Man) God in human form or he was the greatest fraud in the history of humanity.

That is where you come in. You see, lets assume for a minute that Jesus really was God, He really did rise from the dead, and the Bible really was accurate. You would then need to go through every recorded word that He spoke and take it as truth, your eternal life would depend on it.

But lets say He wasn't God, lets say you could prove that He didn't rise from the dead, then you could disprove the entire Christian religion because Christianity doesn't exist without the ressurection. It doesn't exist without the Deity of Christ.

So that is why I started this blog, to present overwhelming evidence of the claim that Jesus is the God Man, and I invite anyone to comment who has proof that He was not!
